Camp location

Activities will take place at CPE Mère Framboise, located at 17025 Brunswick street in Kirkland. One room is reserved exclusively for the daycamp children.

Arrivals and departures

Children should arrive at camp for 9:00am, since the activities begin at this time. It is possible to use the camp daycare services under the conditions described in the "Daycare" section. Activities end at 4:00pm. If you are going to arrive late in the morning, or will be picking up your child earlier in the afternoon, we kindly ask you to inform us in advance or call the camp. Parents can contact the camp by calling the CPE's main telephone number at 514 428-2590 extension 0 or 2. For the security of the children, parents must register their childs arrival and departure.

For safety reasons, no child may leave the camp during normal business hours if he is not accompanied by his parents.

Daycare

The daycare opens at 7:00am. It is important not to bring your child earlier because no staff member will be present to receive him.
There is no extra charge for morning or afternoon camp daycare services.

Morning and evening please make sure you see the monitor so that he takes note of the arrival and departure of your child.

The opening hours of childcare in the afternoon is 4:00pm to 6:00pm. The staffs working day ends at 6:00pm therefore a pricing policy has been established in case of a delay. This policy is implemented daily. Late fees must be paid within a week of the delay occurred.

Policy delays daycare

For every 5 minutes of delay from the parent, an amount of $5.00 will be billed. Upon arrival at daycare, the parent must sign the book of delays.

Meal

Some rules must be followed in regards to your child's camp lunch:

  1. You must bring a complete lunch and two healthy snacks for your child and they must be clearly identified with his name.
  2. On off-site fieldtrip days, lunch bags should contain an "ice-pak"
  3. We recommend that you do not bring any dairy product or any product that may contain mayonnaise.
  4. To reduce risk of severe allergy that some children may have, no food containing peanuts or nuts are allowed at the camp.
  5. Nutritious lunches, balanced and varied are recommended. No candy is accepted.
  6. During the on-site activities, a microwave oven and a refrigerator will be available to participants.

Resource people
If you have any questions about the camp, you can meet with the camp coordinator on the first morning of the session. You can also call the camp and talk to staff members, or make an appointment to meet them in person.
Cost and terms of payment
The cost of the daycamp is as follows:

Registration: Free!

Required T-Shirt: $ 15.00 (unless registrating before April 30th, then one t-Shirt is free)
The payment of expenses related to the activities of the day camp will be paid by preauthorized withdrawals. A specimen check is needed to officialise your child’s place for day camp. This check can be mailed, dropped off in person, or sent by email, at your convenience. Three withdrawals will be made to cover the entire summer fees; May 30th, June 27th and July 25th. On August 22, a fourth withdrawal could be done to cover adjustments you may have made during the summer. In the event that checks are not delivered to the CPE by May 20th 2022, reservations will be cancelled. A refund is possible only if requested before June 10th, 2022. An activity can be cancelled by management if the number of registrations are insufficient. The deferral of a booking by the customer is subject to availability.

No refunds will be made for any cause of absence.

Emergency measures

In case your child suffers an injury or is the victim of an illness, the following emergency measures are planned.
For a minor injury: the camp staff will administer first aid
For a major injury: first aid will be administered on site.
Thereafter, the child will be brought to the medical clinic by taxi or to the hospital by ambulance, according to the seriousness of his condition. The parent will be called. In any emergency, the child will be accompanied by an employee of the camp.
All transportation by taxi or ambulance is the parent's expense.
Clothing
On a daily basis, the child will need the following items: a small backpack for transporting clothes and lunch, towel, swimsuit, a set of clothes (t-shirt, socks , shorts and underwear), a bottle of sunscreen, a cap or hat, a water bottle. Cloth the child comfortably with everyday clothes and sport shoes. Predict changes in temperature (warm sweater, raincoat, boots, etc.).

Transport
Fieldtrips will be done by school bus.
Safety
Your child will have to wear the camp t-shirt for each special field trip to ensure its visibility and safety. These will be available for $15.00. The T-shirts must be paid at registration and you will receive them on the child's first day.

Discipline policy
During camp hours, if a child exhibits any of the following behavior:
  • Deliberately breaks or steals property belonging to the camp, camp staff or other campers;
  • Deliberately injures or attempts to injure camp staff or other campers;
  • Threatens the safety or well-being of camp staff or other campers;
  • Repeatedly ignores warnings given by camp staff;
  • Is rude, offensive or obscene to camp staff or other campers.
The following procedures will be implemented, with a trial period between each step:
  1. Verbal warning to the child;
  2. Temporary withdrawal from activities during part of the day; parents will be notified that afternoon;
  3. Meeting between the parent, counselor and camp coordinator to discuss the situation and find a solution;
  4. Expulsion, without refund of fees, by the Director general of CPE Mère Framboise.
